• To Provide and Maintain the Service
  Your account details allow us to authenticate you. Your User Content is processed to generate rewrites and proposals.

• To Manage Your Subscription
  Your subscription plan determines your rewrite word limit, tone options, and proposal allowances.

• To Communicate With You
  We may use your email address to send you important information about the Service, subscription updates, or support messages.

3. Data Storage and Handling

• User Content Is Not Stored on Our Servers
  The text you provide for rewrites and proposals is sent to our third-party AI provider (OpenAI) for processing. Output is returned directly to your browser. We do not permanently store or log this text.

• Freelancer Profile Details Stored Locally
  For the Upwork Proposal feature, any professional details you enter (e.g., name, portfolio link, expertise) are stored only in your Chrome browser’s local storage. They are not stored on our servers.

• Account Data Stored Securely
  We store your email, subscription plan, and usage counts (rewrites and proposals used) in our secure backend (Supabase). This data is necessary to manage your subscription.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on third-party providers to operate Rewrite Genie:

• Supabase – for authentication, database hosting, and backend functions.

• OpenAI – for AI-powered rewriting and proposal generation.

• Paddle – for secure payment processing and subscription management.

These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them, as we are not responsible for their data handling practices.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data from unauthorized access or disclosure. All communications between your browser and our backend services are encrypted via HTTPS.

6. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
